Everybody Lift
Free to a good home! Would you like one of these? I would be honored to send you one.
These are my contributions to a project called “One of Many Postcards” started by an amazing artist and printmaker in the UK by the name of John Pedder. It works like this:
Artists make postcard sized pieces of their work and offer them for free. When you receive one, you decide how much you would have been willing to pay for it (or something you can afford) and donate that amount of money to a good cause of your choosing.
If you can’t afford to donate any money, I am still happy to send you one. What I do ask however, is that you pay it forward by donating a kindness of your choosing. Any kindness, any size. This is not about big gestures. This is about the belief that even small acts can contribute towards a larger hope, especially during times of division. This is about caring for, and about, one another. This is about lifting one another up and believing in a shared humanity. A small connection between you, me and 49 other people.
Each of my postcards is handmade: painted, printed and collaged, so although they are “the same” each one will be a little different from the others, just like us.
If you would like one, all you need to do is message me your name and where you would like it sent. You can do this here by using my contact page, or through my Instagram lea.decosta, or just hit the instagram icon at the bottom of the page, (private message please…do not leave your info in the comments). I will send them, starting on March 20, 2025, first come, first served, until I run out. Wait until you receive it before making a donation, just in case something gets lost in the mail!
No need to provide me proof of donation, but if you would like to post a picture when you receive it, and tag me and #oneofmanycharity so that more people become aware, it would be most appreciated (although not necessary).
You can find other artists who are participating by searching the hashtag #oneofmanycharity on Instagram. Thank you John Pedder for doing this!
Support the arts, support kindness, support one another. xo
