She arrives today!

When we moved to California she lived with us for three straight years, never leaving for even a day. As much as I adore her, that was a little too much, even for me, one of her biggest fans. 

When we returned to New England she resumed her old ways, showing up here and there, sometimes for a week at a time, but rarely more than that. 

Today, after a long stretch without her, she is on her way, and I am so looking forward to seeing her! She can stay for lunch, she tells me, possibly through dinner, and like always, we will catch up as though we have never been apart.

I know she will not be able to stay long, and I am fine with that. I know she will be back, and I will feel her warmth again.
